Terms of Service

By accessing or using GenerateCV ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. GenerateCV cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to comply with this security obligation. You are responsible for all content posted and activity that occurs under your account. You may not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You must promptly update your account information if it changes.

You agree not to use the Service to: • Upload or transmit viruses or malicious code • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other systems • Impersonate any person or entity • Harvest or collect email addresses without consent • Interfere with or disrupt the Service • Create false or misleading resume content • Violate any applicable laws or regulations We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by GenerateCV and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any content you create using the Service, including your resume content. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process and store your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. Our templates, designs, and AI-generated suggestions remain our intellectual property and may not be copied or redistributed.

Some features of the Service require payment. GenerateCV currently sells one-time Pro Passes (for example, 30-day and 90-day access periods). A Pro Pass is a single upfront payment — it does not auto-renew, and we never charge you again unless you choose to purchase another pass. Pro Pass purchases are eligible for a full refund within 7 days of purchase, no questions asked. Contact us through the site to request one. CareerAgent is sold as an optional monthly subscription. It renews monthly on your billing date, and you can cancel anytime from your account or billing portal; cancellation stops future renewals and your access continues to the end of the paid period. Founding-member pricing stays in effect for as long as your subscription remains continuously active. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice; pricing changes never affect access or passes you have already purchased, and never override an active founding-member rate while that subscription remains active.

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may export your data before termination using our export features. All provisions of the Terms which should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. GenerateCV makes no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the Service's operation or your use of the Service. We do not guarantee that: • The Service will meet your specific requirements • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free • The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate • Your resume will result in job interviews or offers The quality of resumes depends on the accuracy and completeness of information you provide.

In no event shall GenerateCV, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses. Our total liability for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

CareerAgent can prepare and, where supported, submit job applications on your behalf. This feature operates only under your explicit, per-application control: • You authorize CareerAgent to submit a specific application only when you individually approve that application. Nothing is ever submitted that you did not approve. • Screener and eligibility answers come solely from your Application Profile, which you complete and attest to be truthful. CareerAgent never invents, infers, or fabricates answers. If a question cannot be answered from your attested profile, the application is routed back to you. • Editing your Application Profile clears your attestation; you must re-confirm before further applications can be submitted. • A field-by-field transcript of each submitted application is retained so you have a record of exactly what was sent. The employer's own confirmation is the independent proof of receipt. • You remain responsible for the accuracy of your attested answers and for your eligibility for the roles you apply to.

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the Service.
